We arrived at the Locks a few minutes early, but then our turn came, and we entered.
Captain's eye view of the Ballard Locks. The large lock is on

we would not fit in the smaller one, which was otherwise unavailable
as it was undergoing repairs anyway.
The dam which controls the level of Lakes Union and Washington, and the fish
ladder at the Locks. Given the time of year, and how wet March was,

Going down! Note that the railway bridge has opened, as the antennae
on our boat were too high to fit under, even with the low tide.
